Targets Command (Refinement Submenu for vStacks)

Not in the Concise Edition

Displays the targets for the vStack.

The targets are defined by a table with each row defining a particular target that the refinement process will attempt to meet.

Wavelength: The Wavelength at which the Target is to apply.

Beam Angle: The Beam Angle at which the Target is to apply.

Required Value: The value of the performance figure specified in the Type column that is desired.

Weight: The relative importance of the Target.

Target Tolerance: The range about the Required Value that is acceptable.

Type

The type of performance for which the Required Value has been specified. You may select one of the following types:

Throughput Throughput

Log(Throughput) Reflectance Magnitude

Delta Transmittance + Reflectance Magnitude

Psi Reflectance Magnitude of the reverse side of the coating

p-s Leakage Phase change on reflection

s-p Leakage Phase change on transmission

p-s Delta Density

s-p Delta Reflectance Group Delay

Pol specifies the polarization that applies to the target. You may select one of the following values:

P P - Polarization

S S - Polarization

Mean Mean Polarization

Link Number, Link Multiplier: When Link Number is a positive integer, the target is part of linked group of targets. When the Link Number is zero, the Target is not part of a linked group. Each target with the same link number is part of the same group. Each target in a group is multiplied by its Link Number and then summed with all the other targets in the group. Required Value, Weight and Target Tolerance apply to the summed targets and are only displayed in the first target of the group.
